Top 10 Companies with highest Mutual Fund (MFs) stakes ending December 2024

In the December 2024 quarter, several companies saw high mutual fund (MF) ownership, indicating strong institutional interest.

Brokerage firm Kotak Institutional Equities has compiled a list of top 10 companies where MFs held the highest stakes as of quarter ended December 2024.

  • Federal Bank
  • Sapphire Foods
  • Crompton Greaves Consumer
  • Kalpataru Projects
  • Equitas Small Finance Bank
  • Cipla
  • PVR INOX
  • Gateway Distriparks
  • Max Financial
  • InterGlobe Aviation
Indian consumers should always conduct due research into mutual funds portfolios and not blindly follow the advisory of MF Companies or various Fund Managers from Wealth Management Firms situated acros the length & breadth of the country.

Mutual Fund companies invest in potentially (extra) growing listed entities with the BSE & NSE Exchanges, on behalf of their customers. As average citizens (consumers) do not have the expertise & knowledge to pick correct listed companies with the BSE/NSE and individually invest through equity stakes. The risks associated through Mutual Fund companies is very less, compared with direct equity investment. As MF companies conduct strict routine due-diligence and then decide in which listed companies final investment would be made.

Hence, Mutual Funds sahi hai...to an extent! But remember to regularly crosscheck their investment portfolio and never trust blindly.
